About Joan
JOAN BOGDEN has been training in the field of communication skills for more than twenty years. Drawing upon her expertise as a television personality, corporate spokesperson, and media trainer, Joan helps business people, performers and educators develop an effective message and unique style. Considered the “top voiceover coach in New York”, Joan has trained hundreds of professional voice artists on both coasts, as well as stage and TV directors, copywriters and producers who want to benefit from her unique approach to verbal communication and believability.
Joan’s ability to analyze and explain complicated material in an easy-to-understand way led to her training millions in computer technology and Microsoft software as the lead on-camera presenter and course developer for MicroVideo Learning Systems, where she also developed training videos for Microsoft on the use of Windows Media Technology and the Pocket PC.
Joan’s interest in communications, new media, video and audio production, and psychology gives her a unique perspective on the many business, educational and personal uses of new technologies such as YouTube videos, podcasts, webcasts, Skype and webinars. She has led numerous professional seminars, combining her entertaining, informative and understandable style with current research in cognition, persuasion and communication to devise creative training solutions.

A graduate of Vassar College (Drama and Psychology), Joan received her M.A. in Clinical Psychology from New York’s Fordham University, where she was also a doctoral candidate and published researcher.
